Blue Topaz
December’s birthstone, Blue Topaz, is known for high refractive index and ability to take a fabulous polish, making it ideal for fancy and non-traditional cuts. Blue Topaz begins as a colorless or very lightly tinted topaz crystal, and neutron or electron bombardment is what creates its unique hue.
Blue Topaz is a symbol of wisdom and longevity, and was thought to give strength to the wearer in ancient Greece. Blue Topaz comes in a wide variety of shades, from sky blue to London blue, and is the perfect centerpiece for pendants, earrings, brooches, and rings. Just make sure to save it for special occasions- its cleavage makes daily wear a bit risky.

They have been traveling the world and bringing joy to their audiences since 1990- and seeing them perform in their hometown is nothing short of incredible. Catch the Raleigh Ringers at the Duke Energy Center on December 9th and 10th.

It’s a hybrid dim sum restaurant, brewery, bookstore and florist- and believe it or not, they do each of these endeavors extremely well! Some of our favorite dishes include the bone marrow scallion pancakes, duck egg rolls and of course- the dumplings!
