Diamond
April’s birthstone is the Diamond! Diamonds are the traditional engagement stone as well as the traditional 10th and 60th anniversary gem. The word “diamond” comes from the Greek word “adamas”, which means unconquerable. What better way to celebrate the eternity of love? Though they are typically colorless stones, Diamonds also come in colors like green, red, pink, yellow and blue! Being one of the hardest stones, this tough gem is the perfect stone to represent a lifetime of love! Add a luxurious diamond to your collection today!
Local Gems
PLACES TO GO : Lynnwood Grill & Brewing Concern
Lynnwood Brewing Concern on Whitaker Mill Road is one of the areas longest established micro breweries originating at Lynnwood Bar and Grill. The Brewery features rotating food trucks on weekends and for special events. Enjoy an outdoor area with nice shaded seating and a grass area for the dogs and kids–you can even bring your own picnic! They have over 20 beers on tap made in house, many of which are award winning. Dogs can even come inside because they don’t serve food. It’s a local joint with great food, friendly staff and lots of fun! Don’t miss trivia night and be sure and try the Coconut Porter!
PLACES TO EAT: Zeke’s Meats
For food with flair, be sure to stop by Zeke’s Meats food truck! It’s regularly parked at Lynnwood Brewing Concern, so it’s easy to check out both spots in one stop! You might be under the impression that the Philly cheesesteak or the shrimp po’boy are America’s best sandwiches, but just wait until you try Zeke’s slow roasted pork sandwich on a crusty Italian hoagie. This sandwich is the true winner according to Travel Channel host Adam Richman, and at CMI we have to agree. But don’t take our word for it, look for Zeke’s Meats food truck in the Triangle area for the best sandwiches (and much more) in town!
